FAQ

1. Does the school provide housing?
Married and single housing is provided on campus to all full-time students.

2. Is there financial aid?
Christ For The Nations Institute offers scholarships to both international and domestic students.  Persons who have served in the United States Armed Forces may be eligible for education assistance through Veterans Affairs. For more info visit admissions.cfni.org/

3. How do I take classes part-time?
Part-time classes are designed for those with full-time jobs to come and be a part of our classes for the particular module they choose. For the designated 3-4 weeks, you will take classes alongside our full-time students and complete the curriculum.

4. Is college credit available?
Christ For The Nations Institute has an agreement with several universities and many, if not all of your credits, can transfer into college credits. Many alumni go on to continue their education at universities and colleges.

5. What will I receive upon completing the program?
Students will receive an Advance Diploma in Practical Ministry and can be credentialed through the Fellowship of Ministers and Churches. fmc.cfni.org/

6. Is there an audition process?
SOWTA holds evaluations on the second and third day of class to place students on teams for SOWTA chapels. Auditions are held for students who desire to be placed on Praise Band. These auditions are held the first week of school as well.

7. Do I need to play or sing to be a student at SOWTA?
No. Many of our students do not play an instrument or sing. It is not a requirement for you to play or sing for any purpose; although, we do teach musicianship, which includes the basics for music theory.

8. How do I get into a band at CFNI?
If desired, you may audition for the CFNI Praise Band or the School of Worship Band. These bands lead the morning chapels, Tuesday Night Experience and Nights of Worship. The auditions are held the first week of school.

9. When does the program begin and end?
If you start the program in the fall, you will graduate in May. If you start the program in the spring, you will graduate in December. The total school time is about 8 months.

10. Are there summer or evening classes available?
We do not offer any SOWTA classes during the summer or evenings and weekends.

11. What are the requirement/pre-requisites to get into SOWTA?
SOWTA students must be graduates of CFNI 2-year program, CFNI 1-year Leadership program, hold a bachelors degree, have 2 years of full-time relevant ministry experience, or be a spouse of someone in another CFNI Advanced School of Ministry.

12. Will SOWTA help place me after I graduate?
SOWTA will place your resume on our website after graduation and will have our placement department help you search for the ministry that is right for you.

13. Is there translation for international students or ESL students?
There is no written translation for ESL students. CFNI does offer an ESL class as well as an Intensive English Program for International Students.
